Gift of Play

The “Joy of Play” is an essential piece of childhood and part of everything we believe in at Hasbro. Through our Gift of Play product donation program, we partner with organizations worldwide to help bring joy and make the greatest impact possible for children.

Our Gift of Play program supports nonprofit organizations that provide around-the-clock care for children in crisis, such as hospitals and shelters, summer camps serving children with serious and life-threatening illness, military support, children and families who have been impacted by a natural disaster and organizations that ensure children receive a toy or game on the morning of their holiday.

Unfortunately, we do not accept any unsolicited donation requests. Please read our Giving Guidelines for more information. Learn more about how Hasbro’s Gift of Play program is making a difference below.

  • Fort Worth, Texas
  • Los Angeles, California

We work with the Marine Corps Toys for Tots Foundation to distribute toys outside our operating areas and bring joy and a message of hope to children. Last year, Hasbro donated 1.4 million toys and games to spread holiday cheer.

Military Support

Hasbro is committed to supporting our dedicated service members in the United States Military and their families. Whether it’s a care package sent to active members overseas or grief support groups at home, our support reminds military members that they are not alone - we remember them, appreciate their service and support their families.

Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors

Hasbro supports the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), which provides ongoing emotional support for those who are grieving the loss of a loved one in the U.S. military. At the TAPS Good Grief Camp, children and teens who are grieving the loss of a loved one have opportunities to learn coping skills, establish and identify support systems and remember that they are not alone. Campers use PLAY-DOH to express emotions and relieve stress and games like MONOPOLY and CONNECT 4 give them the opportunity to bond with other children. JENGA has become a tradition at Good Grief Camp where the yearly tournament can only be described as “epic.”

Operation Gratitude

Operation Gratitude delivers Care Packages to Heroes serving overseas and here at home. Hasbro shows our support and gratitude for our service members by donating toys and games like MAGIC: THE GATHERING. The Magic Military Support Program is a dedicated online portal so that service members and families can request packages that include MAGIC: THE GATHERING products. Since this program began, our Wizards of the Coast office has provided product for more than 70,000 Operation Gratitude packages. Team Hasbro volunteers pack the boxes and fill them with personalized notes of gratitude. Together, we are working to bridge the civilian-service divide.

Walter Reed National Military Medical Center

Walter Reed National Military Medical Center treats service members and their families with serious and life-threatening conditions, and we partner with them to provide a distraction and sense of normalcy for children receiving medical care. Medical professionals at Walter Reed also use our classic products like PLAY-DOH and MR. POTATO HEAD in new and creative ways, like developing or rehabilitating fine motor skills, or working through stages of physical therapy.

Children in Crisis

Play Relief

Hasbro’s Play Relief program is designed to supply emergency shelters worldwide with toys and games in times of disaster. Play Relief helps provide a sense of normalcy, a bit of comfort and a distraction for displaced children and families.

When Play Relief is activated, Hasbro employees from around the world come together to pack, stack and ship boxes filled with toys and games to our nonprofit partners at Good360, who ensures that the product is distributed responsibly.

Pediatric Health

A hospital stay can be a scary and stressful situation. Hasbro works closely with staff and child life specialists in children’s hospitals, to provide a sense of comfort and normalcy to young patients.

In addition to providing toys and games, Team Hasbro gives kids the chance to “play with the pros” by coordinating game days to lift spirits and bring a smile to children’s faces.

Shelter Support

We recognize the plight of homeless children around the world who are living in very difficult situations. We work to bring hope to these children.

Our shelter program is designed to equip shelter playrooms with toys and games so children will have something to help pass the time and bring a smile to their face.

In addition to our playroom support, we are proud to partner with the non-profit organization, Birthday Wishes, whose mission is to bring birthday parties to homeless children.
